Thesis Title: GIS analysis of Human and Animal Dispersals
About
I am currently a graduate student with Kings College, London, working on the topic of investigating Human and Animal Dispersals through GIS.
My main research interests lie in AMH and hominin dispersals, and in site prospection and landscape-scale archaeological assessments in varying environments through the complimentary use of GIS, aerial and remotely sensed datasets, and archaeological geophysical and field survey techniques.
Formerly I worked with the VISTA centre of Birmingham Archaeology (part of the Institue of Archaeology and Antiquity at the University of Birmingham), in the areas of landscape archaeology and GIS, with a focus over recent years upon mapping and characterising potential archaeological sites in the state of Qatar using remotely sensed data. Prior to this role, I worked in the areas of terrestrial archaeological geophysical survey, GIS analyses for Cultural Resource Management, and formerly worked in developer-led UK excavation for several years.
