About

Currently undertaking a project focusing on retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells in humans and rodents. The aims of this study is to identify and characterise potential RPE progenitors which can be used for cell repair and regeneration.

The second major project is directed towards reprogramming adult human and murine skin fibroblasts into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). The overall aim of this project is to identify any altered characteristics in iPSC deriving from patients with inherently-derived genetic abnormalities affecting multiple human organs.
