About

I'm from Lisbon, Portugal, where I graduated in History and completed an MA in Early Modern Portuguese History at the New University of Lisbon. I am currently in my second year as a PhD student in Digital Humanities, working on a prosopographical study of the Portuguese Court during the reign of John III (r. 1521-d. 1557), under the supervision of Harold Short.
Before coming to London I worked at the Centre for Overseas History - New University of Lisbon (www.cham.fcsh.unl.pt). I also worked for the Portuguese Museums Institute (http://www.ipmuseus.pt).
My main research interests are Computing for Historical Studies, Prosopography, Social History and History of the Portuguese Empire.
